THE ROUTE

Day 1
COLLE VAL D’ELSA TOUR  30 Km

Individual arrival in the renaissance village of Colle Val d’Elsa, where you will check-in at a typical Tuscan facility, which will host you for the duration of your stay. In the afternoon we will have a welcome briefing and then depart for the first excursion. We will explore the Colle Val d’Elsa area with a stop at a local winery for an “aperitivo” in true Tuscan style before returning to the hotel.

Day 2
SAN GIMIGNANO TOUR  40 Km 

After breakfast we will set off in the direction of San Gimignano, discovering the Manhattan of the Middle Ages with its famous towers rising majestically in the landscape. Along the way we will enjoy magnificent views of the Tuscan countryside, with its rolling hills covered by vineyards and olive groves. Arriving in San Gimignano we will visit the historic center and the fascinating medieval architecture will take us back in time. Afterwards we will have the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the wine culture of this area, making a stop at a renowned winery, which will guide us through a tasting experience of their fine wines. In particular, we will be able to appreciate Vernaccia, a dry, fruity white wine that is excellent enjoyed cold. We will also be served a light lunch of typical Tuscan dishes, which will enhance the flavor of the selected wines. After a moment of pure relaxation in the shade of the olive and cypress trees of this beautiful location, we will depart in the direction of Colle Val d’Elsa, traveling along sections of the famous Via Francigena.

Day 3
POGGIBONSI TOUR  40 Km

After breakfast, we will get on our e-bikes and ride to Poggibonsi, a charming town rich in history and culture. On the way we will admire olive groves, vineyards and the characteristic farmhouses that dot the Tuscan countryside, pedaling along quiet roads surrounded by nature. Arriving in Poggibonsi, we will explore the historic center and some of its most iconic attractions, such as the Imperial Fortress, an imposing defensive structure that dominates the valley, the Archeodromo, an archaeological park where a typical medieval village has been reconstructed and the Castle of Strozzavolpe, a majestic fortress full of charm and mystery. During the tour we will stop at a farm in the area, where we will have the opportunity to taste renowned wines, high-quality extra virgin olive oil and enjoy other typical Tuscan products. After visiting the farm’s centuries-old wine cellars, we will enjoy a moment of relaxation, admiring the view around us, before returning to the hotel.

Day 4
MONTERIGGIONI TOUR  40 Km 

After breakfast at the facility we will begin today’s trip to the impressive Castle of Monteriggioni. This ancient fortification, surrounded by mighty medieval walls, will transport us back in time. We will admire its towers and stroll through the narrow streets of the village, surrounded by an authentic atmosphere of a bygone era. Afterwards, the tour will take us to a local winery, where we will have the opportunity to taste some of Tuscany’s finest wines during a guided tasting. In particular we will be able to appreciate the renowned Chianti, a fine red wine that needs no introduction. Along with the tasting we will enjoy a light lunch of typical Tuscan products. We will delight in the genuine flavors and culinary traditions that characterize this wonderful area. We will then take back our e-bike route to return to our facility in Colle Val d’elsa, pedaling along historic paths such as the Via Francigena, immersing ourselves in the beauty and spirituality that only places steeped in history such as these can emanate.

Day 5
CHECK-OUT AND ARRIVEDERCI
